This page explains what data clashlatest.com (referred to below as "this site") touches while visitors browse, what that data is used for, and how visitors can control it. This site is purely static, with no registration, login, comments, or forms, so the data surface is quite limited. Details are listed item by item below.
1. Scope of Data Collection
This site does not collect visitors' names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any information that directly identifies an individual. There is no account system, and no entry point requiring visitors to submit content.
When a visitor loads a page on this site, the server and analytics systems technically encounter the same kind of access data as any other website: browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, page path visited, timestamp, referrer, and the IP address carried by the network request. This is standard HTTP request information generated by the act of browsing itself, not something this site requests separately.
2. Visit Analytics
This site uses a self-hosted analytics tool to record page views. The data is used only to: understand how traffic is distributed across pages, identify which tutorials and documentation are most needed, and spot broken pages or unusual access patterns so that content maintenance can be prioritized accordingly.
Analytics data is used only in aggregate form. This site does not attempt to link analytics records to specific individuals, does not sell, rent, or share this data with any third party, and does not use it for advertising or cross-site tracking. The analytics system is self-deployed, so data never passes through a commercial analytics platform.
If a visitor's browser has Do Not Track enabled, or uses a content-blocking extension, the analytics script may fail to load. This does not affect any functionality on the site.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
Pages on this site do not themselves set identifying cookies. The analytics tool may write a small number of technical cookies in the browser to distinguish continuous browsing sessions and repeat visits from the same visitor; their content is a random identifier and contains no personal information.
Some in-page interactions (such as tab-switching state) are recorded via URL anchors and do not rely on local storage. Visitors can clear cookies and site data at any time through browser settings; doing so does not affect browsing or downloading on this site.
4. Downloaded Files and Third-Party Links
The client installers offered on this site's download pages come from the public release channels of each client project; some links point to external sites such as app stores. Once a visitor clicks an external link, data handling on the destination page is governed by that third party's own privacy policy, which this site does not control and is not responsible for. Visitors are advised to review a third-party site's privacy notice before submitting any information there.
How each client application handles data locally (such as logging or configuration storage) is determined by the software itself and is unrelated to this site. Related questions can be found in each project's public documentation, or in this site's FAQ and setup guide.
5. Children
This site's content is aimed at users with some technical networking background and is not designed for children; it does not knowingly collect any information from children. Because this site does not collect identity information, it cannot determine a visitor's age. Guardians who believe this content is unsuitable for a child in their care should apply their own access controls.
6. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated as site features or regulatory requirements change. Updated versions will be published directly on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top revised accordingly; no individual notifications will be sent. Continuing to browse this site constitutes acknowledgment of the current version of this policy.
This site does not offer a separate contact channel. For questions about site content or this policy, please check the FAQ page first, where most answers can be found.
